At the fringes of the world that the West acknowledges, the energy war between Ukraine and Russia and the energy conflict fought between the US and Iran are merging, showcasing how global and local at the same time the effects of the ongoing energy crises are.In an unprecedented statement, the ministry of transport of Tajikistan has issued a concerning call regarding its energy security.In a meeting between the minister of transport of Tajikistan, Azim Ibrohim, and the minister of roads and urban development of Iran, Farzaneh Sadegh, the government of Dushanbe revealed it has asked Tehran to provide oil and refined products to secure supplies.In particular, the Tajik government requested a total of 2.5 million tons of oil and products (2 million tons of crude oil, 150,000 tons of gasoline, 300,000 tons of diesel fuel, and 100,000 tons of jet fuel).
